The first edition of The Mediterranean Dimension kicked off this morning with our Intercultural Music Residency which will be taking place this week at Spazju Kreattiv! Maltese musicians (Samuel Mallia, Glen Montanaro, Dean Montanaro) and Egyptian musicians (Walid Abdou, Amin Ibrahim, Ahmed Abdelghani) are being led by Ahmed El Maghraby from Egyptian Center for Culture and Arts - Makan.

About The Mediterranean Dimension
The first edition of ‘The Mediterranean Dimension’ - a project aiming towards collaboration, network and support of the international development of artists - is being held between the 12 and 19 March 2017. The project provides a platform for the promotion of intercultural elements, both through artistic opportunities as well as the creation of dialogue.
This is an ARC Research & Consultancy project supported by Arts Council Malta and the Valletta 2018 - European Capital of Culture Foundation Multi‐Annual Support Grant (Malta Arts Fund). The project is developed in collaboration with Medinea, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Egyptian Centre for Culture and Arts - “Makan”, Spazju Kreattiv, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Centre for Research in Culture and Performance at the University of Malta, and A Soul for Europe.
