ARC Research & Consultancy staff attended two training courses in Brussels between the 7 and 14 November 2016. The training courses were organised by Out of the Box and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1.
The courses revolved around ‘Project Management and European Funding’ and ‘Education Online: Development of Webinars and Online Education Programmes’ respectively. The courses followed the methodological approach of non-formal education, with a balance of theoretical input, participant-sharing and practical exercises stimulating learning by doing. The sessions were held by experts in education and training and also included a visit to the European Commission. Participants included staff and project managers from organisations and educational centres from all over Europe.
The benefits offered by the Erasmus+ programme for these successful participating organisations include an increased capacity to operate at an international level, improved management skills, access to more funding opportunities and projects, increased ability to prepare, manage, and follow-up projects, a more attractive portfolio of opportunities for students and staff at participating organisations, as well as the opportunity to develop innovative projects with international partners. Following this course, participants created a partnership and applied for funding for other projects.
