EFFE Label 2017-2018 ceremony during launch of Festivals Malta

The EFFE Label 2017-2018 award ceremony took place during the launch of Festivals Malta on Tuesday 5th December 2017. 14 festivals from Malta and Gozo received their certificates from the EFFE Hub (ARC Research & Consultancy) in the presence of EFFE Jury Member Haris Pasovic.

Mario Frendo, Director of ARC Research & Consultancy, the EFFE Malta Hub gave a presentation on the EFFE project and Haris Pašović, spoke about the challenges of the project and the experience of judging 1000 festivals.

Earlier, Inge Ceustermans from The Festival Academy, introduced the European Festivals Association and the Atelier for Young Festival Managers 2019.

The Maltese festivals awarded the EFFE Label 2017-2018 were Birgufest; Għanafest; International Spring Orchestra Festival (ISOFestival); Malta International Arts Festival (MIAF); Malta International Organ Festival; Malta Jazz Festival; Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival; Malta Short Film Festival (MSFF); Notte Bianca Valletta (NBV); Science in the City, Malta; Valletta International Baroque Festival (VIBF); Victoria International Arts Festival (VIAF); Żejt iż-Żejtun; and ŻiguŻajg 2017 - Arts Festival for children and young people.
